BRIAN COHEN APPOINTED TO ABA TASK FORCE TO COMBAT ANTISEMITISM

Partner Brian Cohen has been appointed to the American Bar Association’s Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, a group of 20 leaders in the public, private, nonprofit, and academic legal communities throughout the country, including former ABA presidents. Brian was appointed by ABA President William R. Bay and Immediate Past President Mary Smith, who created the ABA task force. The task force will implement the ABA House of Delegates resolution that the association take a leadership role in combating antisemitism through various initiatives.

Brian is also a Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Task Force on Combating Antisemitism and Anti-Asian Hate. In that regard, on January 19, 2024, NYSBA’s House of Delegates approved the task force’s report, a copy of which is attached here: Task Force Report

Brian is the author of Just Because We Are Jewish: The Disturbing and Historic Rise in Antisemitism and What We Can Do About It, which was published in the January/February 2024 edition of the NYSBA Journal. In addition, Brian and task force Co-Chair Vince Chang co-authored The Ongoing Fight Against Antisemitism and Anti-Asian Hate: Legislative Developments, which was published in the Summer 2024 edition of the NYSBA Journal.
